- Properly receive, inspect, and label donated blood and blood products according to established protocols.
- Ensure all labeling and documentation is accurate and complete, and meets regulatory and safety standards.
- Maintain inventory of all donated blood and blood products, ensuring proper storage and rotation.
- Monitor and record temperature and humidity levels in storage areas, taking appropriate action if levels fall outside of acceptable ranges.
- Collaborate with other team members to coordinate the transfer and shipping of blood and blood products to other locations.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including sanitizing equipment and surfaces regularly.
- Communicate effectively with team members and superiors, providing updates on inventory levels and any issues or concerns.
- Adhere to all confidentiality guidelines and protect the privacy of donors and recipients.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current on best practices and industry updates.
- Assist with quality control processes to ensure the integrity and safety of donated blood and blood products.

Knowledge Of Quarantine And Labeling Procedures: A Qualified Candidate For This Position Should Have A Strong Understanding Of The Specific Quarantine And Labeling Procedures Followed By The American Red Cross. This Includes Knowledge Of Relevant Regulations And Guidelines From Organizations Such As The Fda And Cdc.
