- Perform quality control testing on blood products to ensure safety and compliance with FDA regulations and Red Cross standards
- Monitor and maintain laboratory equipment and supplies to ensure accurate and efficient testing
- Conduct data analysis and maintain accurate records of test results
- Identify and troubleshoot any issues or discrepancies in test results
- Communicate and collaborate with other laboratory staff and departments to ensure timely and accurate testing and results
- Follow all standard operating procedures and safety protocols to maintain a safe and efficient work environment
- Participate in continuing education and training to stay updated on new techniques, procedures, and regulations
- Assist in developing and implementing new quality control procedures and processes
- Act as a resource for other laboratory staff, providing guidance and training as needed
- Support the overall mission and values of the American Red Cross through dedication to humanitarian efforts and promoting a positive image of the organization.
Bachelor's Degree In Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working In A Clinical Laboratory Setting, Preferably In A Quality Control Role.
Knowledge Of Laboratory Regulations And Standards, Including Clia And Fda Guidelines.
Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills, With A Keen Attention To Detail.
Excellent Communication And Teamwork Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively In A Fast-Paced And Dynamic Environment.
