
QC Laboratory Technologist

- Perform quality control testing on blood products according to established procedures and protocols.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all laboratory tests and results.
- Identify and troubleshoot any issues or deviations in test results and take appropriate action.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory and accreditation standards.
- Participate in proficiency testing and maintain proficiency in all laboratory procedures.
- Assist in the development, validation, and implementation of new laboratory tests and procedures.
- Train and mentor new laboratory technologists on laboratory procedures and protocols.
- Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment and instrumentation.
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a safe and clean laboratory environment.
- Collaborate with other members of the laboratory team to ensure efficient and effective workflow.
- Communicate with healthcare providers and other stakeholders to provide accurate and timely test results.
- Stay up-to-date with advancements and changes in laboratory technology and techniques.
- Adhere to the organization's mission, values, and code of conduct.
- Maintain confidentiality of all patient and organizational information.
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives to enhance laboratory processes and procedures.
- Provide excellent customer service to blood donors and patients.
- Adhere to all policies and procedures of the American Red Cross.
- Attend and actively participate in team meetings and trainings.
- Assist in maintaining inventory and ordering necessary laboratory supplies.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the laboratory manager or supervisor.
Bachelor's Degree In A Relevant Field Such As Biology, Chemistry, Or Medical Technology.
Minimum Of 2-3 Years Of Experience Working In A Laboratory Setting, Preferably In A Quality Control Or Regulatory Role.
Knowledge And Understanding Of Laboratory Testing Protocols And Procedures, Including Proficiency In Operating And Maintaining Laboratory Equipment.
Familiarity With Good Manufacturing Practices (Gmp) And Good Laboratory Practices (Glp) Guidelines.
Excellent Attention To Detail, Organizational Skills, And Ability To Work Independently As Well As Part Of A Team.
