  1. Perform quality control tests on blood products to ensure safety and accuracy.
  2. Maintain accurate and organized records of all quality control data.
  3. Adhere to strict protocols and procedures for handling and testing blood products.
  4. Monitor and report any abnormalities or inconsistencies in test results.
  5. Collaborate with laboratory team members to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
  6. Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety standards.
  7. Participate in the development and implementation of new laboratory procedures and techniques.
  8. Communicate effectively with team members and other departments to ensure timely and accurate testing and results.
  9. Keep up-to-date with industry advancements, best practices, and quality control techniques.
  10. Assist with training and mentoring new laboratory staff.
  11. Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  12. Prioritize and manage tasks to meet deadlines and ensure timely release of blood products.
  13. Actively participate in quality improvement initiatives.
  14. Demonstrate a strong commitment to the American Red Cross mission and values.
  15. Uphold confidentiality and ethical standards at all times.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Medical Laboratory Science Or Related Field

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Experience In A Quality Control Laboratory Environment

  • Knowledge Of Fda And Clia Regulations And Experience With Audit Preparation

  • Experience With Laboratory Instrumentation And Troubleshooting Techniques

  • Strong Attention To Detail And Ability To Work Independently In A Fast-Paced Environment.
