Responsibilities:

  1. Coordinate and lead disaster relief programs in collaboration with team members and community partners.
  2. Develop and implement strategies for effective disaster response, including identifying potential risks and creating contingency plans.
  3. Plan and organize logistics for disaster relief efforts, including volunteer recruitment, supply management, and deployment of resources.
  4. Serve as a liaison between the American Red Cross and other organizations involved in disaster response, fostering strong partnerships and collaboration.
  5. Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
  6. Train and supervise volunteers and staff in disaster response protocols and procedures.
  7. Communicate with disaster-affected individuals and communities, providing support and resources to meet their immediate and long-term needs.
  8. Maintain accurate records and documentation of all program activities and expenditures.
  9. Stay current on disaster response best practices and industry standards, and incorporate them into program planning and implementation.
  10. Represent the American Red Cross at community events and meetings, promoting awareness of disaster relief services and opportunities for involvement.
  11. Collaborate with other departments within the organization to ensure a coordinated and comprehensive approach to disaster response.
  12. Participate in emergency response efforts as needed, including after-hours and on-call duty.
  13. Uphold the values and mission of the American Red Cross in all interactions and activities.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Emergency Management, Public Health, Or Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 3-5 Years Experience In Disaster Response And Recovery Operations.

  • Strong Understanding Of Fema Regulations And Procedures.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Collaborate With Diverse Teams And Communities.

  • Demonstrated Experience In Program Development, Implementation, And Evaluation.
