
National Team Platelet Scheduler

- Manage and maintain the national platelet inventory, ensuring an adequate supply for patients in need.
- Develop and implement efficient scheduling systems to maximize platelet donations and minimize waste.
- Communicate with regional blood centers and hospitals to coordinate platelet orders and deliveries.
- Monitor and track platelet usage and inventory levels, making adjustments as needed.
- Work closely with the procurement team to ensure timely delivery of platelet products.
- Train and support regional schedulers on best practices for managing platelet inventory.
- Maintain accurate records and reports on platelet inventory and utilization.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to promote platelet donations and educate the public on the importance of platelet donations.
- Assist with the recruitment and retention of platelet donors.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety standards related to platelet donations and inventory management.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues or discrepancies with platelet inventory or orders.
- Participate in meetings and trainings to stay updated on industry trends and best practices.
- Continuously identify areas for improvement and make recommendations to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Represent the American Red Cross and its mission in a professional and positive manner.
- Support and adhere to all organizational policies and procedures.
Bachelor's Degree In Healthcare Administration, Nursing, Or A Related Field
Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Blood Banking Or Healthcare Scheduling
Knowledge Of Blood Donation Processes And Procedures
Strong Organizational And Communication Skills
Ability To Work Independently And In A Fast-Paced Environment, Including The Ability To Prioritize And Manage Multiple Tasks Simultaneously.
