As a Facilities Specialist, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and improving our facilities, allowing us to continue our mission of providing aid and support to those in need. We are seeking a highly organized and skilled individual with experience in facilities management and maintenance.   1. Conduct regular inspections of all American Red Cross facilities to assess safety, functionality, and cleanliness.
  2. Identify and address any maintenance or repair needs in a timely manner.
  3. Develop and implement a preventative maintenance schedule for all facilities.
  4. Collaborate with other departments to ensure that facilities meet their specific needs and requirements.
  5. Research and recommend cost-effective solutions for facility improvement or repair projects.
  6. Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities, as well as related expenses.
  7. Create and maintain relationships with vendors and contractors for facility-related services.
  8. Train and supervise facilities staff, including custodial and maintenance personnel.
  9. Monitor and manage facility budget, including expenses for supplies and repairs.
  10. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and protocols for facilities.
  11. Stay up-to-date on industry standards and best practices for facility management.
  12. Communicate effectively with staff and volunteers regarding facility-related updates and changes.
  13. Serve as the main point of contact for any facility-related emergencies or issues.
  14. Work with local authorities, if needed, to obtain necessary permits or approvals for facility projects.
  15. Continuously seek ways to improve and optimize facility operations and processes.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Facilities Management, Engineering, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Experience In Facilities Management, Preferably In A Non-Profit Or Healthcare Setting.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Building Codes, Safety Regulations, And Best Practices For Facility Maintenance.

  • Excellent Organizational And Project Management Skills, With The Ability To Handle Multiple Tasks And Prioritize Effectively.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively With Staff, Volunteers, And External Vendors.
