  1. Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of all facilities, including buildings, equipment, and grounds.
  2. Develop and implement maintenance protocols and schedules to ensure the safety and functionality of all facilities.
  3. Coordinate with vendors and contractors to schedule and oversee repairs and renovations as needed.
  4. Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify and address any potential safety hazards or maintenance issues.
  5. Manage and track facility budgets, expenses, and inventory of supplies and equipment.
  6. Collaborate with other departments to ensure all facility needs are met, including coordinating space usage and scheduling of events.
  7. Communicate effectively with staff, volunteers, and stakeholders to understand and address any facility-related concerns or requests.
  8. Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes, safety regulations, and ADA accessibility standards.
  9. Maintain accurate records and documentation related to facility maintenance and repairs.
  10. Provide training and support to staff and volunteers on proper facility usage, safety protocols, and emergency procedures.
  11. Represent the organization in a professional manner and foster positive relationships with community members and stakeholders.
  12. Continuously seek ways to improve and optimize facility operations, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
  13. Support the organization's mission and values and embody a strong work ethic and commitment to service.

  • Knowledge Of Building And Facility Maintenance: A Facilities Specialist At American Red Cross Must Possess Strong Knowledge And Experience In Building And Facility Maintenance, Including Hvac Systems, Plumbing, Electrical, And General Repairs. This Will Enable Them To Effectively Oversee And Manage The Maintenance Of Red Cross Facilities.

  • Strong Project Management Skills: The Facilities Specialist Must Have Excellent Project Management Skills To Handle Multiple Projects Simultaneously, Prioritize Tasks, And Ensure Timely And Efficient Completion Of All Facility-Related Projects.

  • Emergency Preparedness And Response: As The American Red Cross Is A Disaster Relief Organization, The Facilities Specialist Must Have Experience In Emergency Preparedness And Response. They Must Be Able To Develop And Implement Emergency Response Plans And Protocols For Red Cross Facilities.

  • Budgeting And Cost Management: The Facilities Specialist Must Have Experience In Budgeting And Cost Management To Ensure That All Facility-Related Projects Are Completed Within Budget. They Must Also Be Able To Identify Cost-Saving Opportunities And Implement Cost-Effective Solutions For Facility Maintenance.

  • Communication And Collaboration: Effective Communication And Collaboration Skills Are Essential For A Facilities Specialist At American Red Cross.
