  1. Conduct phlebotomy procedures accurately and efficiently, following all safety protocols and procedures.
  2. Manage and maintain a clean and organized donor center environment.
  3. Greet and assist donors in a friendly and professional manner, providing excellent customer service throughout the donation process.
  4. Maintain donor records and accurately enter donor information into electronic systems.
  5. Monitor donor reactions and provide appropriate care and assistance as needed.
  6. Adhere to all HIPAA guidelines and maintain confidentiality of donor information.
  7. Follow all American Red Cross policies and procedures, as well as local, state, and federal regulations.
  8. Participate in ongoing training and education to stay current on phlebotomy techniques, safety standards, and other relevant topics.
  9. Collaborate with team members to ensure a smooth and efficient donation process.
  10. Assist with inventory management and ordering of necessary supplies.
  11. Maintain accurate and detailed records of donor information, including blood type, donation history, and other relevant data.
  12. Communicate effectively with donors, staff, and volunteers to ensure a positive donor experience.
  13. Help promote and maintain a positive and professional image of the American Red Cross and its mission.
  14. Adhere to quality assurance standards and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
  15. Take part in community outreach activities and events to promote blood donation and the mission of the American Red Cross.

  • Completion Of A Phlebotomy Training Program: Candidates For A Donor Center Phlebotomist Position At American Red Cross Should Have A Certificate Or Degree From An Accredited Phlebotomy Training Program. This Will Ensure That They Have The Necessary Knowledge And Skills To Perform Blood Draws Accurately And Safely.

  • Knowledge Of Infection Control And Safety Protocols: As A Phlebotomist, It Is Essential To Follow Proper Infection Control And Safety Protocols To Prevent The Spread Of Diseases. Candidates Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of These Protocols And Be Able To Implement Them Effectively In A Fast-Paced Donor Center Environment.
