  1. Perform phlebotomy procedures to collect blood donations from donors at our donor center.
  2. Ensure the safety and comfort of donors throughout the donation process.
  3. Follow all standard operating procedures and safety protocols to ensure the integrity of the donated blood.
  4. Accurately record donor information and maintain confidentiality of all donor records.
  5. Monitor and assess donors for any adverse reactions during or after the donation process.
  6. Assist with donor recruitment efforts and provide information to potential donors about the donation process.
  7. Maintain a clean and organized work area, including properly disposing of biohazardous materials.
  8. Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient operations and a positive donor experience.
  9. Adhere to all regulatory requirements and maintain compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  10. Participate in ongoing training and education to maintain and improve phlebotomy skills.

Job Qualifications
  • Certification And Training: A Donor Center Phlebotomist Must Possess A Valid Phlebotomy Certification And Have Completed An Accredited Training Program. This Ensures They Have The Necessary Knowledge And Skills To Perform Blood Draws And Handle Donor Samples Safely And Accurately.

  • Experience: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Minimum Of 1-2 Years Of Experience As A Phlebotomist In A Clinical Or Laboratory Setting. This Demonstrates Their Ability To Handle A High Volume Of Blood Draws And Work With A Diverse Range Of Donors.

  • Knowledge Of Blood Collection Procedures: A Donor Center Phlebotomist Must Have A Thorough Understanding Of Blood Collection Procedures, Including Different Venipuncture Techniques, Anticoagulants, And Proper Labeling And Handling Of Blood Samples. This Ensures The Safety And Accuracy Of The Donated Blood.

  • Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As A Donor Center Phlebotomist, The Ability To Communicate Effectively And Build Rapport With Donors Is Crucial. This Includes Providing Clear Instructions, Addressing Donor Concerns, And Maintaining A Professional Demeanor At All Times.

  • Attention To Detail And Adherence To Protocols: Accuracy Is Essential In Blood Collection, And A Donor Center Phlebotomist Must Be Detail-Oriented And Follow Established Protocols And Procedures. This Includes Proper Documentation, Labeling, And Handling Of Donor Samples To Ensure The Safety Of Both The Donor And The Recipient.
