
Disaster Services Supervisor

- Oversee and coordinate disaster response efforts in the assigned region.
- Ensure that all disaster response services are delivered efficiently and effectively to those in need.
- Develop and maintain relationships with local emergency management agencies, community organizations, and other stakeholders to enhance disaster response efforts.
- Train and supervise a team of disaster response volunteers to provide high-quality services during emergencies.
- Develop and implement disaster preparedness plans and protocols to minimize the impact of disasters on the community.
- Monitor and evaluate disaster response operations to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.
- Collaborate with other departments within the American Red Cross to ensure a coordinated and comprehensive response to disasters.
- Maintain accurate records and reports of all disaster response activities and resources.
- Serve as a liaison between the American Red Cross and government agencies, community groups, and other partners to coordinate disaster response efforts.
- Provide leadership and guidance to staff and volunteers during high-stress and fast-paced emergency situations.
- Stay up-to-date on current emergency response policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure compliance and effectiveness.
- Represent the American Red Cross at community events and meetings to promote disaster preparedness and response efforts.
- Participate in on-call rotations and respond to disasters as needed, including nights and weekends.
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and regulations during disaster response operations.
- Foster a positive and inclusive work environment for staff and volunteers to promote engagement and retention.
Minimum Of 5 Years Experience In Disaster Response And/Or Emergency Management.
Bachelor's Degree In A Related Field Such As Public Administration, Social Work, Or Emergency Management.
Strong Leadership And Organizational Skills, With The Ability To Manage And Coordinate Multiple Teams And Projects.
Knowledge Of Disaster Response Protocols And Procedures, As Well As Local, State, And Federal Emergency Management Guidelines.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively With Diverse Populations And Stakeholders In High-Stress Situations.
