
Disaster Services Supervisor

- Oversee and manage all aspects of disaster relief operations in the assigned community, ensuring efficient and effective response efforts.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all disaster-related activities and communicate updates and progress to the team and stakeholders.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive disaster response plan, including resource allocation, volunteer management, and community outreach.
- Recruit, train, and supervise a team of volunteers to assist in disaster response efforts, ensuring proper training and resources are provided.
- Work closely with local government agencies, community organizations, and other partners to coordinate relief efforts and ensure a unified response.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of disaster relief operations, making necessary adjustments and improvements as needed.
- Maintain accurate records and reports of all activities and expenses related to disaster response and recovery efforts.
- Provide support and guidance to affected individuals and communities, offering emotional support and connecting them with necessary resources.
- Participate in regular disaster preparedness training and exercises to ensure readiness for future disasters.
- Represent the American Red Cross at community meetings and events, promoting disaster preparedness and the organization's mission.
Bachelor's Degree In Emergency Management, Public Administration, Or Related Field.
Minimum Of 3 Years Experience In Disaster Response And Recovery, Including Managing Teams And Resources In High-Stress Environments.
Knowledge Of Emergency Management Principles, Including Disaster Preparedness, Response, And Recovery.
Strong Leadership Skills And Ability To Effectively Manage And Motivate A Team Of Volunteers And Staff.
Excellent Communication And Organizational Skills, With The Ability To Coordinate With Government Agencies, Partner Organizations, And Community Stakeholders.
