
Disaster Services Supervisor

- Oversee and manage all aspects of disaster response operations, including planning, coordination, and execution.
- Develop and implement disaster relief plans and protocols in accordance with American Red Cross guidelines.
- Coordinate with local government agencies, community organizations, and other stakeholders to ensure effective disaster response and recovery efforts.
- Recruit, train, and supervise disaster response volunteers to ensure they are equipped with the necessary skills and resources.
- Manage and maintain inventory of disaster relief supplies and equipment.
- Conduct needs assessments and determine appropriate resources and support needed for disaster-affected individuals and communities.
- Communicate regularly with disaster response team members, volunteers, and other stakeholders to provide updates and gather feedback.
- Maintain accurate records and reports of disaster response activities, including volunteer hours, resources utilized, and impact on clients.
- Serve as a liaison between the American Red Cross and other organizations involved in disaster relief efforts.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and protocols during disaster response operations.
- Provide support and guidance to disaster-affected individuals and communities, including emotional support and referrals to additional resources.
- Stay updated on current disaster management strategies and best practices, and implement them in disaster response efforts.
- Collaborate with other Disaster Services Supervisors and team members to continuously improve disaster response efforts.
- Participate in fundraising and outreach activities to support disaster relief efforts.
- Uphold the values and mission of the American Red Cross in all aspects of the job.
Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Disaster Response And Recovery Operations, Preferably With A Humanitarian Organization Or Government Agency.
Bachelor's Degree In Disaster Management, Emergency Management, Public Health, Or A Related Field.
Strong Leadership And Management Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Coordinate And Supervise A Team Of Disaster Responders.
Knowledge Of Disaster Preparedness, Response, And Recovery Principles And Procedures.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively With Diverse Stakeholders, Including Volunteers, Community Partners, And Government Officials.
