We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Disaster Services Supervisor to join our team and lead our disaster response efforts.   1. Oversee and manage all aspects of our disaster response efforts, including coordinating with volunteers, staff, and community partners.
  2. Develop and implement effective disaster response plans and protocols to ensure timely and efficient assistance for those affected by disasters.
  3. Lead and supervise a team of disaster services staff, providing direction, support, and guidance as needed.
  4. Collaborate with other departments within the American Red Cross to ensure seamless coordination and communication during disaster response efforts.
  5. Maintain and update disaster response resources, including training materials, equipment, and supplies, to ensure readiness for any potential disasters.
  6. Conduct regular assessments and evaluations of disaster response efforts to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.
  7. Serve as a spokesperson for the American Red Cross during disaster response efforts, representing the organization to the media and the public.
  8. Develop and maintain relationships with local government agencies, community organizations, and other partners to enhance disaster response efforts.
  9. Ensure compliance with all relevant policies, procedures, and regulations related to disaster response activities.
  10. Provide support and guidance to volunteers and staff during high-stress and emotionally charged situations.
  11. Participate in training and professional development opportunities to stay updated on best practices and industry trends in disaster response.
  12. Serve as a role model for professionalism, compassion, and dedication to the mission of the American Red Cross.

Job Qualifications
  • Minimum Of 3-5 Years Experience In Disaster Response And Management

  • Bachelor's Degree In Emergency Management, Public Health, Or Related Field

  • Strong Leadership Skills, With Experience Managing And Supervising A Team

  • Knowledge And Understanding Of Disaster Response Protocols, Including Fema Regulations And National Incident Management System (Nims)

  • Excellent Communication And Organizational Skills, With The Ability To Coordinate And Collaborate With Various Stakeholders Including Government Agencies, Volunteers, And Community Partners.
