We are currently seeking a Disaster Services Supervisor to join our team and lead our disaster response efforts. As a Disaster Services Supervisor, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of those affected by disasters, coordinating and managing volunteer teams and resources to provide vital support and aid.   1. Oversee disaster response efforts for the American Red Cross, ensuring effective and timely assistance to those affected by disasters.
  2. Manage and coordinate volunteer teams and resources to provide support and aid to disaster-impacted communities.
  3. Develop and implement disaster response plans and protocols in accordance with the organization's standards and procedures.
  4. Train and supervise disaster response volunteers, providing guidance, support, and resources to ensure their readiness and effectiveness.
  5. Collaborate with local government agencies, community organizations, and other stakeholders to ensure a coordinated and efficient response to disasters.
  6. Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and regulations during disaster response activities.
  7. Monitor and report on the progress of disaster response efforts, providing regular updates to upper management and key stakeholders.
  8. Assess the needs of disaster-affected communities and make recommendations for resource allocation and distribution.
  9. Maintain accurate records and documentation of all disaster response activities for reporting and audit purposes.
  10. Represent the American Red Cross in media interviews and community events related to disaster response efforts.
  11. Stay updated on current disaster response trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to continuously improve response efforts.
  12. Foster a positive and inclusive work environment for disaster response volunteers, promoting teamwork and collaboration.
  13. Assist in fundraising and outreach efforts to support disaster response and relief efforts.
  14. Uphold the values and mission of the American Red Cross in all aspects of the job.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Emergency Management, Public Administration, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Experience In Disaster Response And Management, Preferably With A Humanitarian Organization Or Emergency Management Agency.

  • Strong Leadership And Team Management Skills, With The Ability To Coordinate And Motivate Volunteers And Staff.

  • Knowledge And Understanding Of Disaster Response Protocols, Including Shelter Operations, Damage Assessment, And Community Outreach.

  • Excellent Communication And Organizational Skills, With The Ability To Work Under Pressure And Make Critical Decisions In High-Stress Situations.
