  1. Lead and manage all aspects of disaster preparedness, response, and recovery efforts within the assigned geographic area.
  2. Develop and implement disaster response plans and strategies in collaboration with local government agencies, community partners, and other stakeholders.
  3. Recruit, train, and supervise a team of volunteers and staff to support disaster relief operations.
  4. Maintain and update disaster response resources, including supplies, equipment, and facilities.
  5. Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, community organizations, and donors.
  6. Monitor and evaluate disaster response activities to ensure effectiveness and efficiency.
  7. Provide guidance and support to affected communities during disaster response and recovery.
  8. Develop and maintain a budget for disaster response activities.
  9. Collaborate with other departments within the American Red Cross to ensure a coordinated response to disasters.
  10. Stay informed about current disaster management trends and best practices and incorporate them into the organization's operations.
  11. Represent the American Red Cross at community events and meetings to raise awareness and support for disaster relief efforts.
  12. Ensure compliance with all relevant policies, procedures, and regulations.
  13. Serve as a spokesperson for the American Red Cross during media interviews and public speaking engagements.
  14. Maintain accurate records and reports of disaster response activities.
  15. Foster a positive and inclusive work culture that values diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Emergency Management, Public Administration, Or A Related Field

  • Minimum Of 3-5 Years Experience In Disaster Response And Management

  • Strong Leadership Skills And Ability To Manage And Motivate A Team

  • Knowledge Of Disaster Response Protocols And Procedures, Including Fema Regulations And Red Cross Guidelines

  • Excellent Communication And Organizational Skills, With The Ability To Coordinate And Collaborate With Various Stakeholders And Community Partners.
