  1. Coordinate and manage all aspects of disaster preparedness, response, and recovery.
  2. Develop and implement disaster response plans in collaboration with other team members and stakeholders.
  3. Train and lead a team of volunteers and staff to effectively respond to disasters.
  4. Monitor and assess potential risks and vulnerabilities in the community and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  5. Establish and maintain relationships with local emergency management agencies and other organizations involved in disaster response.
  6. Oversee the deployment of resources and supplies to affected areas and ensure they are utilized effectively.
  7. Provide timely and accurate reports on disaster response activities and outcomes.
  8. Develop and maintain disaster response protocols and procedures, ensuring they are in line with the organization's standards and best practices.
  9. Collaborate with community leaders and organizations to identify and address the needs of disaster-affected individuals and communities.
  10. Represent the American Red Cross at local, state, and national meetings and events related to disaster response.
  11. Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and policies related to disaster response.
  12. Continuously evaluate and improve disaster response processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  13. Maintain accurate records and documentation of all disaster response activities.
  14. Provide support and guidance to volunteers and staff during times of disaster and ensure their safety and well-being.
  15. Stay up-to-date with the latest developments and trends in disaster management and incorporate them into our response efforts.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Emergency Management, Public Health, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Experience In Disaster Response And Recovery, Preferably With A Non-Profit Organization.

  • Strong Leadership And Project Management Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Coordinate And Manage Teams In High-Stress Situations.

  • Proficient In Disaster Management Principles, Including Risk Assessment, Emergency Planning, And Resource Management.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Work With Diverse Populations And Stakeholders, Including Government Agencies, Volunteers, And Community Partners.
