
Collections Material Coordinator

- Manage inventory of collection materials: Keep track of supplies and equipment needed for blood donation sites and ensure they are well-stocked.
- Distribute collection materials: Coordinate the distribution of supplies and equipment to various blood donation sites according to their needs and schedules.
- Monitor supply levels: Regularly check inventory levels and order new supplies as needed to avoid shortages and ensure smooth operations.
- Communicate with blood donation sites: Maintain open communication with blood donation sites to understand their needs and address any supply or equipment issues in a timely manner.
- Organize storage and transportation of materials: Ensure collection materials are stored properly and transported safely to and from donation sites.
- Train and supervise volunteers: Train and supervise volunteers to assist with the inventory management and distribution of collection materials.
- Maintain accurate records: Keep detailed and accurate records of inventory levels, distribution, and any issues that may arise.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols: Adhere to safety protocols and procedures when handling and transporting materials to ensure the safety of all involved.
- Collaborate with team members: Work closely with other members of the Red Cross team, including blood drive coordinators, to ensure efficient and effective collection material management.
- Support the mission of the American Red Cross: Embody the values and mission of the American Red Cross and contribute to the success of the lifesaving blood donation program.
Bachelor's Degree In Library Science, Archives Management, Or A Related Field.
Strong Organizational And Time-Management Skills.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Collections Management Or Archival Work.
Knowledge Of Cataloging And Classification Systems, Such As Marc And Dewey Decimal.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively With Team Members And Volunteers.
