  1. Schedule Blood Donation Appointments: The main responsibility of the Call Center Blood Scheduler is to efficiently and effectively schedule blood donation appointments for donors. This includes managing a high volume of calls and accurately inputting donor information into our systems.
  2. Provide Excellent Customer Service: The Call Center Blood Scheduler must have excellent communication skills in order to provide exceptional customer service to donors. This includes answering questions, addressing concerns, and providing a positive experience for all donors.
  3. Maintain Donor Database: It is the responsibility of the Call Center Blood Scheduler to accurately maintain and update the donor database with all relevant information, such as contact information and donation history.
  4. Collaborate with Blood Collection Team: The Call Center Blood Scheduler will work closely with the blood collection team to ensure that appointments are scheduled efficiently and that all donor information is accurately communicated.
  5. Monitor Donation Goals: As a part of the blood collection process, the Call Center Blood Scheduler will be responsible for monitoring daily, weekly, and monthly donation goals and making adjustments to the schedule as needed.
  6. Follow Standard Operating Procedures: It is essential that the Call Center Blood Scheduler follows all standard operating procedures set by the American Red Cross to maintain a safe and efficient blood collection process.
  7. Coordinate Donor Reminders: The Call Center Blood Scheduler will be responsible for coordinating donor reminder calls and emails to ensure a successful turnout for scheduled appointments.
  8. Handle Donor Inquiries: The Call Center Blood Scheduler will be the main point of contact for donors, handling any inquiries or concerns they may have regarding their appointments or the donation process.
  9. Maintain Confidentiality: The Call Center Blood Scheduler must maintain the confidentiality of all donor information and adhere to strict privacy policies.
  10. Support Mission of American Red Cross: Above all, the Call Center Blood Scheduler is responsible for supporting the mission of the American Red Cross by playing a crucial role in the blood collection process and helping to alleviate human suffering and save lives.

  • Excellent Communication Skills: The Call Center Blood Scheduler Must Be Able To Effectively Communicate With Donors, Volunteers, And Other Staff Members To Coordinate Blood Donation Appointments And Answer Any Questions Or Concerns.

  • Strong Organizational Skills: This Role Requires The Ability To Manage A High Volume Of Calls And Appointments, While Also Maintaining Accurate Records And Schedules For Blood Drives.

  • Customer Service Experience: The Ideal Candidate Should Have Experience In A Customer Service Role, As They Will Be Interacting With Donors And Volunteers On A Daily Basis And Must Provide A Positive And Professional Experience.

  • Knowledge Of Blood Donation Process: While Not Required, Having Knowledge Of The Blood Donation Process And Understanding Of Safety Protocols Is Preferred In Order To Accurately Answer Donor Questions And Address Any Concerns.

  • Flexibility And Adaptability: The Call Center Blood Scheduler Must Be Able To Adapt To Changing Schedules And Priorities, As Well As Handle Unexpected Situations That May Arise During Blood Drives Or With Donor Appointments. Flexibility In Working Hours, Including Evenings And Weekends, May Also Be Required.
