Job Description

We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Blood Product Storage and Distribution Technician to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe storage and timely distribution of blood products to hospitals and patients across the country.   1. Receive and inspect incoming blood products to ensure they meet safety and quality standards.
  2. Properly store blood products in accordance with established protocols and regulations.
  3. Monitor and maintain inventory levels of blood products to ensure an adequate supply for distribution.
  4. Prepare and package blood products for distribution to hospitals and other facilities.
  5. Follow strict protocols for handling, labeling, and tracking blood products to maintain their integrity.
  6. Coordinate with other team members to ensure timely and accurate distribution of blood products.
  7. Maintain accurate records of all blood product transactions and shipments.
  8. Monitor storage conditions and equipment to ensure proper functioning and make necessary adjustments.
  9. Ensure compliance with all safety and sanitation protocols to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  10. Provide excellent customer service to hospitals and other facilities by promptly responding to inquiries and addressing any issues or concerns.
  11. Participate in training and educational programs to stay updated on safety protocols and new techniques.
  12. Collaborate with other team members to identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  13. Follow all applicable laws, regulations, and organizational policies.
  14. Adhere to confidentiality guidelines when handling sensitive information.
  15. Represent the American Red Cross in a professional and positive manner at all times.
