
Blood Product Storage and Distribution Technician

- Receive and inspect incoming blood products to ensure they meet safety and quality standards.
- Properly store blood products in accordance with established protocols and regulations.
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels of blood products to ensure an adequate supply for distribution.
- Prepare and package blood products for distribution to hospitals and other facilities.
- Follow strict protocols for handling, labeling, and tracking blood products to maintain their integrity.
- Coordinate with other team members to ensure timely and accurate distribution of blood products.
- Maintain accurate records of all blood product transactions and shipments.
- Monitor storage conditions and equipment to ensure proper functioning and make necessary adjustments.
- Ensure compliance with all safety and sanitation protocols to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Provide excellent customer service to hospitals and other facilities by promptly responding to inquiries and addressing any issues or concerns.
- Participate in training and educational programs to stay updated on safety protocols and new techniques.

Knowledge Of Blood Safety Standards: A Blood Product Storage And Distribution Technician Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Blood Safety Standards, Including Proper Storage And Handling Procedures, To Ensure The Quality And Integrity Of Blood Products.
Experience With Inventory Management: This Role Requires Managing Inventory Levels And Tracking Expiration Dates Of Blood Products, So Applicants Should Have Experience With Inventory Management Systems And Procedures.
