  • Receive, inspect, and store blood products in accordance with standard operating procedures and safety protocols
  • Monitor inventory levels and track expiration dates of blood products to ensure adequate supply and prevent waste
  • Prepare and package blood products for distribution to hospitals and other medical facilities
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of all blood products, including lot numbers and locations
  • Follow strict safety procedures when handling and transporting blood products to prevent contamination or spoilage
  • Collaborate with other team members to coordinate the timely delivery of blood products to meet the needs of patients and hospitals
  • Assist with quality control and testing of blood products to ensure they meet regulatory standards
  • Train and mentor new technicians on proper handling, storage, and distribution procedures for blood products
  • Communicate effectively with healthcare professionals and patients to provide information and support regarding blood product availability and usage
  • Actively participate in department meetings and training sessions to stay updated on industry developments and best practices.

Job Qualifications
  • Knowledge Of Blood Product Storage And Distribution Procedures: A Qualified Candidate For This Position Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of The Proper Techniques For Storing And Distributing Blood Products, Including Temperature Control And Inventory Management.

  • Experience With Medical Terminology And Equipment: Blood Product Storage And Distribution Technicians Must Be Familiar With Medical Terminology And Equipment Used In The Processing And Storage Of Blood Products. Experience Working In A Healthcare Or Laboratory Setting Is Preferred.

  • Attention To Detail And Accuracy: This Role Requires A High Level Of Attention To Detail And Accuracy To Ensure That Blood Products Are Properly Labeled, Tracked, And Stored According To Established Protocols.

  • Strong Organizational Skills: The Ability To Effectively Manage And Organize Large Quantities Of Blood Products Is Essential For This Role. Candidates Should Be Able To Prioritize Tasks And Maintain Accurate Records.
