  1. Receive, inspect, and store blood products in accordance with strict safety and quality standards.
  2. Maintain accurate and detailed records of all blood product inventory.
  3. Prepare and package blood products for distribution to hospitals and medical facilities.
  4. Ensure timely delivery of blood products to meet the needs of patients in need.
  5. Monitor and maintain appropriate storage temperatures for all blood products.
  6. Work closely with other team members to coordinate and prioritize daily tasks.
  7. Follow established protocols for handling and transporting blood products to ensure their integrity and safety.
  8. Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of storage and distribution equipment.
  9. Adhere to all safety and regulatory guidelines and protocols.
  10. Demonstrate exceptional customer service when interacting with hospital and medical facility staff.
  11. Assist with training and mentoring new team members.
  12. Maintain confidentiality of all sensitive information related to blood products and donors.
  13. Continuously seek opportunities to improve processes and procedures for storage and distribution.
  14. Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth operations.

Job Qualifications

  • Knowledge Of Blood Product Safety: A Blood Product Storage And Distribution Technician Must Have A Thorough Understanding Of Safety Protocols And Procedures For Handling, Storing, And Transporting Blood Products. This Includes Knowledge Of Fda Regulations And Guidelines For Blood Product Storage And Distribution.

  • Experience With Inventory Management: The Technician Must Have Experience With Inventory Management, Including Tracking And Recording Blood Product Inventory Levels, Expiration Dates, And Proper Rotation Techniques. This Ensures The Availability Of Fresh And Safe Blood Products For Distribution.

  • Attention To Detail: Accuracy And Attention To Detail Are Crucial In This Role, As Any Mistakes In Recording Or Handling Blood Products Could Have Serious Consequences. The Technician Must Be Able To Follow Strict Protocols And Maintain Precise Records.

  • Strong Communication Skills: Effective Communication Is Essential In This Role, As The Technician Will Be Working With A Team To Coordinate The Distribution Of Blood Products. They Must Also Communicate Clearly With Donors And Healthcare Facilities To Ensure Proper Handling And Use Of Blood Products.

  • Physical Ability: This Job Requires Physical Stamina And The Ability To Lift And Move Heavy Boxes Of Blood Products. The Technician Must Also Be Able To Work In A Fast-Paced Environment And Handle Time-Sensitive Tasks With Efficiency.
