
Blood Product Storage and Distribution Technician

- Properly store donated blood products according to established protocols and procedures.
- Maintain accurate and organized inventory of all blood products.
- Ensure safe and timely distribution of blood products to hospitals, clinics, and other facilities.
- Monitor storage conditions and temperature of blood products to ensure quality and safety.
- Perform regular quality control checks on blood products to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Maintain proper documentation of all storage and distribution activities.
- Assist with loading and unloading of blood products from delivery vehicles.
- Follow established safety procedures and protocols at all times.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient and effective distribution of blood products.
- Maintain a clean and organized storage area for blood products.
- Respond promptly to any issues or emergencies related to blood product storage or distribution.
- Provide excellent customer service to all donors, recipients, and other stakeholders.
- Attend training sessions and meetings as required to stay updated on safety protocols and procedures.
- Adhere to all American Red Cross policies and procedures.
- Maintain confidentiality of all donor and recipient information.
- Continuously seek ways to improve processes and procedures related to blood product storage and distribution.

- Remain vigilant for any potential hazards or risks and report them immediately.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Minimum Educational Requirement For This Role Is A High School Diploma Or Equivalent. This Demonstrates Basic Knowledge And Competency In Areas Such As Mathematics, Science, And Communication.
Blood Banking Experience: Previous Experience In Blood Product Storage And Distribution Is Highly Desirable. This Could Include Experience Working In A Blood Bank, Hospital, Or Other Healthcare Setting.
Knowledge Of Blood Safety Regulations: A Strong Understanding Of Blood Safety Regulations, Such As Fda And Aabb Standards, Is Essential For This Position. This Ensures Safe Handling And Distribution Of Blood Products To Patients In Need.
Attention To Detail: As A Blood Product Storage And Distribution Technician, Attention To Detail Is Critical. This Includes Accurately Labeling And Tracking Blood Products, Maintaining Proper Storage Conditions, And Adhering To Strict Protocols.
Physical Ability: This Role Requires Physical Stamina And The Ability To Lift And Move Heavy Boxes And Containers Of Blood Products. Candidates Should Be Able To Stand For Extended Periods Of Time And Have The Dexterity To Handle Delicate Equipment.
