Completion Of A Phlebotomy Training Program: Candidates For A Blood Collection Staff Position At American Red Cross Must Have Completed A Formal Phlebotomy Training Program. This Ensures That They Have The Necessary Knowledge And Skills To Safely And Accurately Collect Blood.
Certification Or Licensure: The American Red Cross May Require Candidates To Hold A Current Certification Or Licensure In Phlebotomy Or A Related Field. This Demonstrates That The Candidate Has Met Certain Standards And Is Qualified To Perform Blood Collection Procedures.
Experience In Blood Collection: Previous Experience In Blood Collection Is Highly Preferred For A Blood Collection Staff Position At American Red Cross. This Can Include Work In A Clinical Or Hospital Setting, As Well As Volunteer Experience With Blood Drives Or Other Similar Organizations.
