
Area Booking Manager
Welcome to the American Red Cross team! We are currently seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join us as our Area Booking Manager. As an integral member of our team, you will play a crucial role in managing and coordinating the booking of facilities and resources for our various programs and events. - Manage and coordinate the booking of facilities and resources for all American Red Cross programs and events in the designated area
- Develop and maintain relationships with venue owners and managers to secure bookings and negotiate rates
- Create and maintain a master calendar of all bookings and ensure accurate and timely communication with all stakeholders
- Collaborate with program managers to understand their needs and preferences for event spaces and resources
- Coordinate logistics for each event, including setup, breakdown, and any necessary equipment or supplies
- Monitor and manage event budget to ensure cost-effective solutions are utilized
- Continuously seek out new and unique event spaces and resources to enhance the experiences for our programs and events
- Communicate regularly with program managers and other team members to ensure all booking needs are met and any conflicts are resolved
- Oversee the hiring and training of event staff and volunteers to assist with event setup and execution
- Maintain detailed records and reports of all bookings and event-related expenses
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in event planning to continuously improve the booking process and event experiences.
Bachelor's Degree In Event Management, Hospitality, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 3-5 Years Experience In Event Planning And Management, Preferably In A Non-Profit Or Community-Based Organization.
Strong Organizational And Project Management Skills, With The Ability To Prioritize Tasks And Meet Deadlines.
Excellent Communication Skills, Both Written And Verbal, With The Ability To Interact Effectively With Team Members, Volunteers, And External Partners.
Knowledge Of Budgeting And Financial Management, With The Ability To Create And Manage Event Budgets And Ensure Cost-Effectiveness.
