  1. Develop and implement regulatory strategies for the U.S. business in alignment with American Express' overall goals and objectives.
  2. Build and maintain strong relationships with key regulatory agencies and stakeholders, including federal and state regulators, to ensure a positive and collaborative working environment.
  3. Monitor and assess changes in the regulatory landscape and proactively identify potential risks and opportunities for the company.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and policies.
  5. Provide guidance and support to business units on regulatory matters, including new product development, risk assessment, and compliance requirements.
  6. Prepare and submit regulatory reports, filings, and responses to inquiries in a timely and accurate manner.
  7. Educate and train employees on regulatory requirements and best practices to ensure a culture of compliance within the organization.
  8. Lead and manage a team of regulatory professionals, providing coaching and development opportunities to help them achieve their full potential.
  9. Represent the company in external forums and industry events, advocating for the company's interests and building relationships with key stakeholders.
  10. Continuously assess and improve upon the company's regulatory processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  11. Stay current on industry trends, best practices, and emerging regulatory issues to ensure the company remains compliant and ahead of the curve.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Business, Finance, Economics, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 10 Years Of Experience In Regulatory Relations, Compliance, Or Government Affairs.

  • Strong Understanding Of Financial Regulations And Their Impact On The Financial Industry.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Build And Maintain Relationships With Regulatory Agencies And Internal Stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated Leadership Experience, Including Managing A Team And Driving Regulatory Strategy And Initiatives.
