- Design, develop, and maintain efficient and scalable back-end solutions for American Express' digital platforms
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including front-end engineers, product managers, and designers to deliver high-quality products
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, and apply them to improve the company's digital landscape
- Identify and troubleshoot any issues or bugs in the back-end systems, and implement solutions to ensure smooth and efficient functioning
- Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members to maintain high coding standards and quality
- Participate in agile development processes, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives
- Mentor and guide junior engineers, sharing knowledge and best practices to help them grow and develop their skills
- Proactively identify and communicate potential risks or challenges in project timelines, and work towards finding solutions to mitigate them
- Collaborate with other teams within the organization to ensure seamless integration of back-end systems with other software products and services

Extensive Experience With Back-End Development: A Senior Back End Engineer At American Express Should Have At Least 6-8 Years Of Experience In Back-End Development, With A Deep Understanding Of Languages Such As Java, Python, Or C++.
Strong Understanding Of Database Management: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Database Management, Including Experience With Sql Databases And Nosql Databases Like Mongodb.
Knowledge Of Cloud Computing Technologies: With American Express Moving Towards A Cloud-Based Infrastructure, The Senior Back End Engineer Should Have Experience With Cloud Computing Technologies Like Aws Or Azure.
