Job Description

At American Express, we are looking for a motivated and experienced Risk Management Manager to join our team. This role requires a results-driven professional with a passion for evaluating and managing risk. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in risk management and a keen eye for detail. The Risk Management Manager will have a deep understanding of the business, leading the team in identifying and mitigating risks. This position requires a confident leader who can communicate complex industry concepts to stakeholders while managing the risk management process. As the Risk Management Manager, you will be responsible for providing guidance and support to the team to mitigate risk and ensure compliance with business policies and procedures.To be successful in this role, you must have a Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. In addition, you must have at least 5 years of experience in risk management and a comprehensive understanding of risk management principles and best practices. Knowledge of financial analysis and financial modelling is also required. Strong leadership skills and excellent communication skills are a must. Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement comprehensive risk management strategies to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with business policies and procedures.
  2. Lead the risk management team to identify and manage risks.
  3. Analyze financial data and utilize financial modelling to forecast risk scenarios.
  4. Monitor the risk management process and make necessary adjustments.
  5. Provide guidance and support to the risk management team.
  6. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.
  7. Act as a liaison between internal and external parties.
  8. Keep abreast of industry trends and changes within the risk management sector.
  9. Prepare and present risk management reports to upper management.
  10. Assist in developing risk management training programs for employees.
