- Develop and implement compliance policies and procedures in accordance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Oversee and monitor the compliance program, ensuring all activities are in line with regulatory standards.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and identify potential areas of non-compliance. Develop and implement corrective action plans as needed.
- Keep up-to-date with regulatory changes and updates, and ensure that the company is in compliance with all relevant regulations.
- Train employees on compliance policies and procedures, and provide ongoing support and guidance to ensure understanding and adherence.
- Conduct internal audits to assess compliance with policies and procedures, and make recommendations for improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance requirements are incorporated into business processes and systems.
- Monitor industry trends and best practices to identify areas for improvement and proactively implement changes to enhance the compliance program.
- Respond to inquiries and requests from regulatory agencies and act as the main point of contact for all compliance-related matters.
- Prepare and submit reports to management and regulatory agencies as required.
- Lead regular compliance meetings and provide updates to senior leadership on the status of the compliance program.
- Manage and mentor a team of compliance professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure their success and development.
- Foster a culture of compliance throughout the organization, promoting ethical and responsible behavior at all levels.
- Identify and address any potential compliance risks, and implement measures to mitigate them.
- Stay informed of industry best practices and potential areas of risk, and provide recommendations for continuous improvement of the compliance program.
Extensive Knowledge Of Regulatory Compliance: A Manager - Compliance At American Express Should Have A Strong Understanding Of The Various Laws And Regulations That Govern The Financial Industry. This Includes Regulations Such As The Bank Secrecy Act, Anti-Money Laundering Regulations, And Consumer Protection Laws.
Leadership Experience: As A Manager, This Role Requires Strong Leadership Skills To Effectively Guide And Motivate A Team Of Compliance Professionals. Previous Experience In A Managerial Or Supervisory Role Is Often Required.
Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills: Compliance Managers Must Be Able To Analyze Complex Information And Identify Potential Compliance Risks. They Should Be Able To Develop Strategies To Mitigate These Risks And Ensure The Company Is In Compliance With All Applicable Laws And Regulations.
