  1. Lead and manage a team of business development professionals to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
  2. Develop and implement strategic plans to expand American Express' presence and drive growth in the Irvine/Carlsbad market.
  3. Leverage your expertise and industry knowledge to identify potential business partnerships and collaborations.
  4. Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers in the local business community.
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute effective business development strategies.
  6. Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends and opportunities for growth.
  7. Develop and deliver presentations and pitches to potential partners and clients.
  8. Negotiate and close deals that align with American Express' goals and objectives.
  9. Monitor and analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify potential areas for growth.
  10. Stay updated on industry developments and changes to ensure American Express remains competitive and innovative.
  11. Provide regular reports and updates on business development activities and progress to senior management.
  12. Mentor and train team members to enhance their skills and capabilities in business development.
  13. Represent American Express at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities.
  14. Collaborate with other departments, such as marketing and finance, to develop and implement joint initiatives and promotions.
  15. Act as a brand ambassador for American Express, promoting our values, products, and services to potential partners and clients.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Business Administration, Marketing, Or Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Business Development, Sales, Or Account Management.

  • Proven Track Record Of Successfully Identifying And Developing New Business Opportunities.

  • Experience In The Financial Services Industry, Preferably With A Focus On Credit Cards Or Payment Solutions.

  • Strong Leadership Skills And Ability To Manage A Team, As Well As Excellent Communication And Negotiation Abilities.
