Manager - Accounting

We are looking for an experienced, hands-on Manager of Accounting to join the team at American Express. The Manager of Accounting will be responsible for managing and overseeing the accounting and finance activities of the organization. Responsibilities:

1. Oversee all accounting and finance activities for American Express, ensuring accurate and timely reporting of financials.
2. Manage and lead a team of accounting and finance professionals.
3. Ensure accounting practices are in accordance with accepted standards.
4. Implement and maintain internal control systems.
5. Prepare and review financial statements and other reports.
6. Analyze financial and operational performance and provide timely recommendations for improvement.
7. Monitor budget and expense performance and provide guidance to departments to ensure compliance.
8. Develop and implement financial policies and procedures.
9. Facilitate external audits and ensure compliance with all applicable regulations.
10. Serve as a liaison with external parties, including banks, auditors, and other third-parties.
