Job Description

At American Express, we are looking for a motivated and experienced Manager - Accounting to join our team. As Manager - Accounting, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the accounting activities of the company. This position requires excellent organizational, financial, and communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. You must have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field, and at least 5 years of experience in accounting or finance. Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee and manage all accounting activities for the company.
  2. Ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial records.
  3. Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures.
  4. Monitor cash flow and budgeting.
  5. Prepare and analyze financial statements.
  6. Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
  7. Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting regulations and laws.
  8. Reconcile accounts and maintain general ledger.
  9. Prepare tax returns and ensure accuracy of calculations.
  10. Assist in the preparation of audit reports.
  11. Identify areas of improvement and develop strategies to improve financial performance.
  12. Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders.
  13. Liaise with internal departments to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
