Information Security Manager
At American Express, we are looking for an experienced Information Security Manager to join our team and help us protect our digital assets and data. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and has a proven track record of success in high-level security operations.We require a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a technology-focused role, such as network engineering or system administration, as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. A background in cybersecurity or information assurance is preferred.The successful Information Security Manager will be a leader, working with teams across the organization to identify security risks and develop solutions to protect our data. This role requires a deep understanding of technical security concepts, combined with strong communication and problem-solving skills. Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategies to protect digital assets and data within the organization.
- Identify and assess security risks, and develop solutions to mitigate or eliminate them.
- Lead teams across the organization in security-related initiatives.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest security trends and technologies.
- Monitor and respond to security incidents and alert IT staff of system anomalies.
- Manage, configure, and maintain security systems, including firewalls, anti-malware, and intrusion detection systems.
- Create and enforce security policies and procedures.
- Train IT staff on security protocols and best practices.
- Document and report security incidents.
- Stay informed of industry regulations and best practices.
