Job Description

The Employee Relations Specialist at American Express is a critical role that is focused on partnering with the Human Resources team to ensure that all employee relations matters are handled in a timely and professional manner. The successful candidate for this role will be an experienced and knowledgeable individual who is adept at applying their expertise to a variety of situations. They will have excellent problem-solving and communication skills, and the ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality. Responsibilities:

  1. Analyze employee relations issues and provide advice to Human Resources team on the best course of action.
  2. Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable employment laws and regulations.
  3. Maintain current knowledge and understanding of relevant laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
  4. Liaise with employees and managers to address any employee relations concerns.
  5. Facilitate resolution of employee relations matters in a timely and professional manner.
  6. Monitor employee relations trends to identify areas of improvement.
  7. Ensure employee relations matters are handled with discretion and confidentiality.
  8. Provide guidance and support to Human Resources team in the development of effective employee relations programs.
  9. Develop and implement training programs to ensure employees understand their rights and responsibilities.
  10. Assist in the development of strategies to improve employee engagement and morale.
