- Lead and manage a team of security operations professionals to ensure the highest level of protection for American Express' assets.
- Collaborate with other departments and teams to ensure alignment and integration of security measures.
- Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and implement necessary improvements.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external security partners and vendors.
- Oversee the implementation and maintenance of security technologies and tools.
- Monitor and analyze security incidents and provide timely response and resolution.
- Develop and maintain incident response plans to effectively handle security breaches.
- Prepare and present regular reports on security operations to upper management.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Develop and manage the security budget, including cost-effective solutions and resource allocation.
- Train and educate employees on security best practices and policies.
- Continuously evaluate and improve security operations processes and procedures.
- Act as a representative for American Express in security-related meetings and events.
Strong Technical Background: The Ideal Candidate For This Role Should Possess A Deep Understanding Of Infrastructure Security, With A Strong Foundation In Network And Systems Administration, And Experience With Security Tools And Technologies Such As Firewalls, Intrusion Detection Systems, And Vulnerability Scanners.
Leadership Skills: As A Director, The Candidate Should Have Proven Experience In Leading And Managing A Team Of Security Professionals. They Should Have Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Inspire And Motivate Their Team To Achieve Strategic Goals.

Risk Management Experience: The Director Will Be Responsible For Identifying Potential Security Risks And Implementing Risk Management Strategies. They Should Have Experience In Conducting Risk Assessments, Developing Risk Mitigation Plans, And Monitoring The Effectiveness Of Those Plans.
Project Management Skills: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Strong Background In Project Management, With The Ability To Plan, Execute, And Monitor Complex Security Projects.
