Job Description

Are you an experienced professional with an in-depth understanding of labor and colleague relations? American Express is looking for a driven and highly organized Director - Colleague & Labor Relations to join our HR team and ensure the smooth running of our colleague and labor relations programs.The ideal candidate should have a solid background in employee relations and labor law, excellent communication and problem-solving skills, and superior organizational abilities. We’re looking for someone who is passionate about developing and maintaining positive relationships with our colleagues and ensuring compliance with all labor laws. This position requires someone who is comfortable leading change, managing multiple projects, and working in a fast-paced environment.If you’re the kind of person who thrives in a collaborative environment and has a knack for developing innovative solutions to challenging situations, this could be the perfect role for you.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and maintain positive relationships with colleagues and labor representatives.
  2. Ensure compliance with all labor laws and regulations.
  3. Manage multiple projects and initiatives related to labor and colleague relations.
  4. Lead change initiatives to drive positive outcomes.
  5. Develop innovative solutions to challenging situations.
  6. Provide guidance and support to colleagues and labor representatives.
  7. Represent the organization in collective bargaining negotiations.
  8. Monitor and investigate labor and colleague relations issues.
  9. Identify and analyze trends in labor and colleague relations.
  10. Develop and maintain labor and colleague relations policies and procedures.

Job Qualifications
