Job Description

American Express is seeking an experienced and collaborative Colleague & Labor Relations Specialist to join our Human Resources team. This position provides the opportunity to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with a team of professionals dedicated to providing world-class service to our colleagues and labor partners. The ideal candidate for this role will have a strong background in labor relations and a passion for creating positive relationships with colleagues and labor partners. The successful candidate must have a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field, with at least 3 years of related professional experience in labor relations or HR. Candidates should have a proven track record of success in developing positive relationships with labor partners and a strong understanding of applicable labor laws and regulations. Additionally, the ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, have a customer-service orientation, and have the ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and maintain positive relationships with colleagues and labor partners.
  2. Negotiate labor contracts and terms according to labor laws and regulations.
  3. Provide advice and support to colleagues in resolving labor disputes.
  4. Monitor regulatory changes and ensure compliance with applicable labor laws and regulations.
  5. Create and implement processes and procedures to ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations.
  6. Participate in the development of strategies to ensure the successful resolution of labor issues.
  7. Liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure effective labor relations.
  8. Develop and maintain positive relationships with external labor partners.
  9. Monitor labor trends and provide recommendations to senior management.
  10. Participate in collective bargaining negotiations.
  11. Develop and implement training programs for colleagues on labor laws and regulations.
  12. Assist with the preparation and distribution of labor materials.
  13. Provide guidance to colleagues on labor related issues.
  14. Monitor and evaluate labor performance metrics.
  15. Assist with the preparation of labor reports and presentations.
