American Express is looking for an experienced and passionate Colleague & Labor Relations Specialist to join our team. As a Colleague & Labor Relations Specialist, you will be responsible for providing strategic advice on labor-related matters while ensuring compliance with applicable labor laws. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in labor relations and a passion for problem-solving.To be successful in this role, you must have a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations, Business Administration, or a related field, as well as at least five years of experience in labor relations. You should have a thorough understanding of employment laws, labor laws, and collective bargaining, as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Responsibilities:

  1. Provide strategic advice on labor-related matters while ensuring compliance with applicable labor laws.
  2. Develop and maintain positive relationships with unions, bargaining units, and other labor-related organizations.
  3. Negotiate collective bargaining agreements with unions.
  4. Investigate and resolve labor disputes and grievances.
  5. Develop and implement policies and procedures related to labor relations.
  6. Monitor labor laws and regulations and make recommendations to ensure compliance.
  7. Manage labor relations budget.
  8. Prepare reports and other documentation related to labor relations.
  9. Participate in labor relations meetings, conferences, and other labor-related events.
  10. Educate managers and other employees on labor laws and regulations.
