  1. Develop and implement a comprehensive audit plan for treasury and liquidity management functions, including risk assessments and testing strategies.
  2. Lead and oversee all audit activities related to treasury and liquidity management, ensuring compliance with internal audit standards and procedures.
  3. Provide strategic guidance and direction to the treasury team, identifying areas for improvement and driving process efficiencies.
  4. Conduct in-depth analysis and evaluation of treasury processes, controls, and policies to identify potential risks and opportunities for improvement.
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, risk management, and compliance, to ensure alignment of audit objectives and findings.
  6. Communicate audit findings and recommendations to senior leadership, including potential impact on business objectives and operations.
  7. Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, both internal and external, to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  8. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in treasury and liquidity management, and apply this knowledge to enhance audit processes and strategies.
  9. Oversee and mentor a team of audit professionals, providing guidance and support to foster their professional growth and development.
  10. Continuously monitor and assess the effectiveness of internal controls and processes related to treasury and liquidity management, making recommendations for improvement as needed.

Job Qualifications
  • Extensive Experience In Treasury Operations And Liquidity Management: The Audit Director-Treasury (Liquidity) At American Express Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Treasury Operations And Liquidity Management, Including Cash Management, Funding Strategies, And Liquidity Risk Management.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Financial Regulations And Reporting Standards: The Candidate Should Be Well-Versed In Financial Regulations And Reporting Standards, Such As Basel Iii, Dodd-Frank Act, And Ifrs 9, To Ensure Compliance With Regulatory Requirements.

  • Proven Track Record In Audit And Risk Management: The Audit Director-Treasury (Liquidity) Should Have A Track Record Of Successfully Leading Audits And Managing Risks Within A Financial Institution, Preferably In The Treasury Or Liquidity Function.

  • Excellent Communication And Leadership Skills: As A Director-Level Position, The Candidate Should Possess Strong Communication And Leadership Skills To Effectively Collaborate With Cross-Functional Teams, Manage Stakeholders, And Lead A Team Of Auditors.

  • Advanced Degree And Professional Certifications: A Master's Degree In Finance, Accounting, Or A Related Field Is Highly Desirable, As Well As Professional Certifications Such As Certified Treasury Professional (Ctp), Certified Public Accountant (Cpa), Or Certified Internal Auditor (Cia).
