  1. Monitor and analyze customer accounts for any suspicious or fraudulent activity.
  2. Investigate and resolve any potential fraudulent transactions or account breaches.
  3. Utilize various tools and systems to detect and prevent fraudulent activity.
  4. Communicate with customers regarding any potential fraudulent activity on their accounts and provide guidance on how to protect themselves.
  5. Collaborate with other departments, such as fraud prevention and customer service, to ensure a comprehensive approach to account protection.
  6. Stay updated on industry trends and new fraud schemes to proactively identify and prevent potential risks.
  7. Uphold company policies and procedures related to account protection and risk management.
  8. Provide exceptional customer service by responding to inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  9. Maintain accurate records of all account protection activities and investigations.
  10. Participate in training and development programs to enhance knowledge and skills related to account protection and fraud prevention.
  11. Act as a subject matter expert on account protection and risk management for internal and external stakeholders.
  12. Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance the overall effectiveness of account protection strategies.
  13. Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements related to account protection.
  14. Collaborate with law enforcement and other external partners in cases of suspected fraud.
  15. Contribute to a positive and inclusive work environment by demonstrating American Express values and behaviors.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Fraud Prevention And Detection Techniques: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Various Fraud Schemes And Techniques Used By Fraudsters, As Well As The Ability To Identify Suspicious Activity And Take Appropriate Action To Prevent Losses.

  • Excellent Analytical Skills: An Account Protection Specialist Should Be Able To Analyze Large Amounts Of Data To Identify Patterns And Trends That Could Indicate Fraudulent Activity. They Should Also Be Able To Think Critically And Make Sound Decisions Based On Their Analysis.
