Follows established quality control procedures for all tests and is responsible for initiating remedial action when quality control is not within acceptable range. Follows practice established guidelines for the notification of critical and STAT lab results. Performs all laboratory information system functions necessary to complete accurate specimen processing and patient testing. Promotes a productive, professional, and friendly interaction with patients, providers, and members of other departments. Assists in maintaining reagent and supply inventories. Performs all routine maintenance procedures and calibration of clinical analyzers throughout the laboratory. Participates in maintaining regulatory compliance with all Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS) rules and regulations.
