Sizing Set Up/Operator

American Axle & Manufacturing-AAM is looking for an experienced and motivated Sizing Set Up/Operator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely and accurately setting up and operating sizing machines to meet production requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude and a commitment to excellence.To be successful in this role, you must have a high school diploma or equivalent, plus at least one year of experience in the automotive or manufacturing industries. You must also have a good understanding of basic shop mathematics and the ability to read and interpret blueprints. Responsibilities:

1. Set up and operate sizing machines in a safe and accurate manner to meet production requirements.
2. Ensure all components are manufactured to meet exact customer specifications.
3. Troubleshoot and make adjustments to machines, as needed.
4. Perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on machines.
5. Maintain accurate records of production data.
6. Monitor and control quality of the product.
7. Ensure all safety regulations are being followed.
8. Follow established production standards and procedures.
9. Collaborate with other departments to ensure efficient workflow.
10. Train and assist other operators, as required.
