Sizing Die Setter

American Axle & Manufacturing-AAM is looking for an experienced Sizing Die Setter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, excellent problem-solving skills, and be able to follow instructions accurately. The successful candidate will have a positive attitude, be a team player, and demonstrate excellent communication skills. To be considered for this role, the following qualifications are required: a high school diploma or equivalent, at least 1-3 years of experience in die setting, and a strong knowledge of blueprints and measurements. Aptitude in reading and understanding technical drawings, specifications, and diagrams is also a must.

Responsibilities:

1. Set up and operate sizing dies and other die-casting machines to cast products with specific dimensions according to blueprints and measurements.
2. Ensure the accuracy of dimensions and tolerances of die-cast products by making necessary adjustments.
3. Monitor and adjust die-casting machines to maintain quality standards.
4. Troubleshoot die-casting machines to identify potential problems and make necessary repairs.
5. Perform regular maintenance on die-casting machines to ensure proper functioning.
6. Maintain accurate records of all die settings and adjustments.
7. Maintain a safe and clean work environment by following all safety procedures.
8. Work closely with other departments to ensure production is running smoothly.
9. Follow all company policies and procedures.
10. Perform other duties as assigned.
