Senior Welding Engineer

American Axle & Manufacturing-AAM is looking for an experienced Senior Welding Engineer to join our team and take our welding engineering operations to the next level. Our ideal candidate is a highly-motivated self-starter with a strong background in welding engineering and a passion for innovating and problem solving.We require at least a Bachelor's Degree in Welding Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. At least 5+ years of experience in welding engineering is preferred. The ideal candidate must be capable of solving complex problems and developing innovative solutions, have strong communication and organizational skills, and be able to work collaboratively with other departments. A knowledge of welding process automation, robotic welding, and weld fixtures is a plus.
