Quality Coordinator

American Axle & Manufacturing-AAM is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Quality Coordinator to join their team. This individual will be responsible for ensuring that the organization meets quality standards and specifications while ensuring compliance with applicable regulations. The ideal candidate will have a passion for quality assurance and a keen attention to detail.The successful Quality Coordinator will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in quality assurance or a related field. A Bachelor’s degree in Quality Assurance, Engineering, or a related field is preferred. Additionally, the candidate should have a strong understanding of quality management systems and process control techniques, as well as excellent problem solving and communication skills.This position requires someone with a strong commitment to quality assurance and safety, as well as a drive to innovate and improve processes. The successful candidate must be able to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. 1. Monitor and evaluate the compliance of AAM products to established quality standards and specifications.
2. Develop, implement, and maintain quality management systems and process control techniques.
3. Identify areas of improvement to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
4. Ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
5. Investigate customer complaints and take corrective action as needed.
6. Develop and manage metrics to measure quality performance.
7. Conduct internal and external audits.
8. Develop and maintain records of quality activities and results.
9. Train and mentor staff on quality assurance processes.
10. Remain up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.
