Purchasing Intern

American Axle & Manufacturing-AAM is seeking a highly motivated Purchasing Intern to join our team. Responsibilities:

1. Assist in researching and sourcing new parts and suppliers;
2. Review and analyze purchase orders;
3. Monitor purchasing activities and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures;
4. Develop and maintain effective relationships with vendors and suppliers;
5. Assist with price negotiations and contract management;
6. Maintain accurate records of all purchases and inventory levels;
7. Monitor market trends and identify potential cost savings opportunities;
8. Document and analyze purchasing data to identify areas for improvement;
9. Create and submit detailed purchasing reports;
10. Provide administrative support to the Purchasing team.
