Job Description

American Axle & Manufacturing-AAM is seeking an experienced Lead Vehicle Cyber Security Engineer to join our dynamic global engineering team. This position offers a unique opportunity to be part of the automotive transformation, as we develop and deploy advanced solutions to ensure the safety and security of vehicles.The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of cyber security principles, processes, and controls, as well as experience in the design and development of secure automotive systems. In addition to being an expert in cyber security, the Lead Vehicle Cyber Security Engineer must be an innovative thinker, possess excellent communication and organizational skills, and be capable of working in a fast-paced environment.Qualifications:• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field• 5+ years of experience in cyber security engineering• Deep understanding of cyber security principles, processes, and controls• Experience in the design and development of secure automotive systems• Experience with open-source tools for security testing and analysis• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment• Excellent communication and organizational skills• Innovative thinker with critical problem-solving skillsIf you have the qualifications above and the passion to be part of one of the most exciting transformations in the automotive industry, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement secure automotive systems that meet cyber security principles, processes, and controls
  2. Monitor and analyze security threats to the vehicle systems
  3. Identify and document security vulnerabilities and develop solutions to mitigate them
  4. Assist in the development and implementation of security policies and procedures
  5. Develop and maintain open-source tools for security testing and analysis
  6. Provide technical guidance and support to other teams in the organization
  7. Collaborate with other engineering teams to ensure secure solutions are implemented
  8. Keep up to date with emerging cyber security trends and technologies
  9. Provide training and guidance to team members on cyber security best practices
  10. Monitor and report on compliance with security policies and procedures.
