Gear Design Engineer
American Axle & Manufacturing-AAM is seeking an experienced and creative Gear Design Engineer to join our team. The Gear Design Engineer will play a key role in the design and development process, working collaboratively with other departments to ensure the delivery of top-quality automotive components.The successful candidate will have a solid background in gear design and manufacturing, as well as experience in CAD and other design software. They will also need to demonstrate strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities:
- Design and develop gears and other automotive components that meet quality standards.
- Utilize CAD and other design software to create accurate and detailed designs.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure the successful completion of projects.
- Ensure all components meet customer and industry standards.
- Monitor production processes to identify potential issues and suggest improvements.
- Analyze customer feedback and propose solutions.
- Review and test prototypes to evaluate performance and reliability.
- Maintain up-to-date records of design and manufacturing processes.
- Prepare technical documentation for projects and related activities.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices.
Bachelor's Degree In Mechanical Or Electrical Engineering
Knowledge Of Mechanical Design Principles
Ability To Use D Cad Software Such As Solidworks
Proven Experience In Gear And Axle Design
Experience With Manufacturing Processes Like Casting
Forging And Machining
Familiarity With Cad/Cam Software And Fea Analysis
Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills
