Responsibilities:

1. Evaluate and authorize insurance coverage, claims, and policy renewals.
2. Analyze and solve complex problems related to insurance regulations.
3. Adhere to all applicable state and federal laws, regulations, and guidelines pertaining to insurance and risk management.
4. Develop and maintain relationships with clients, brokers, and other stakeholders.
5. Provide excellent customer service and respond to inquiries in a timely manner.
6. Monitor and review policy documents for accuracy and compliance.
7. Keep up to date on industry trends, regulations, and best practices.
8. Proactively identify and assess risk, and develop strategies to mitigate potential losses.
9. Prepare reports and provide insights to management on the performance of the underwriting division.
10. Train and mentor junior staff on underwriting processes and procedures.
