
Event Coordinator
The American Automobile Association (AAA) is seeking an experienced, organized, and reliable Event Coordinator to plan and manage our events. As Event Coordinator, you will be responsible for all aspects of event planning and execution, from initial concept to post-event follow-up. This role requires excellent organizational skills, the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, and an eye for detail. Required Qualifications:• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, hospitality management, or a related field• Proven experience as an event coordinator or in a similar position• Excellent organizational and time management skills• Outstanding communication and negotiation abilities• Ability to work independently and under pressure• Working knowledge of MS Office and event management software• Problem-solving aptitude• Knowledge of budgeting, sales, and marketing principles
Responsibilities: • Develop and implement event plans within budgetary guidelines. • Research and select event venues, arrange catering and other services. • Coordinate all logistical aspects of events, including travel arrangements and accommodations. • Monitor event progress and ensure compliance with established timelines. • Liaise with external vendors to ensure all details are accounted for. • Prepare and manage event budgets. • Coordinate event staff and volunteers. • Recruit and manage speakers and presenters. • Oversee on-site event operations and troubleshoot any issues that arise. • Monitor event outcomes and compile reports. • Develop and maintain relationships with event partners. • Stay up to date on event industry trends and best practices.
